The 58th Round the Hills Walk... what a day. The annual Round the Hills Walk is always a special one, and this year was no exception. After a few warm-up walks to get everyone's legs ready, our club set off bright and early to tackle those familiar Rossendale hills. The pace was solid, the banter was even better, and the views? Well, you can't beat them, can you?
It was brilliant to see some familiar faces out there, especially Kate and Kay. And even better, we picked up a few new members along the way! It just goes to show what this community is all about: welcoming everyone with open arms (and a few blisters 🤣). A huge shout-out, as always, to Andy Geelan. He's the one who keeps spirits high and makes sure everyone, no matter their pace, gets to the finish line. His support is the kind of glue that holds our little walking gang together.

And we can't forget the incredible support crew and local businesses who show up year after year. Their generosity and time are what make this event possible. So, a massive thanks to the organisers - Rossendale Rotary Club - for setting up the event and Ninja Coffee Co, Lee Ashworth Excavations, The Water Trough and Speakman for keeping us fed and watered along the route.
This walk isn't just about the miles; it's about the people, the chat, and the shared pride we have in this place we call home. We're already looking forward to the next one!
