Gather@ comes to the Rossendale Art Trail.

The first Gather@ Festival took place across Rossendale in June 2026, bringing together music, creativity, makers and people from across the Valley. Now, some of the people and moments captured during that weekend are coming together again as part of this year’s Rossendale Art Trail.
Later@ is presenting a special photography exhibition documenting the first Gather@ Festival, curated by Jamie Soule and featuring photography by Jamie, Derren Lee Poole and James Ferguson. Between us, we’ve captured a mix of portraits and live images from across the festival, documenting some of the artists who performed, the people behind the scenes and some of those moments that are easy to miss when you’re busy enjoying an event.
For me, the exhibition is a chance to revisit Gather@ through photography and share some of the images that came out of that amazing first festival. It’s also a reminder of just how much creative talent we have here in Rossendale and how much can happen when people come together and give those ideas a bit of space.

A special Saturday at Horse + Bamboo
On Saturday 24 October, the exhibition will be accompanied by a screening of Andrew Obaje’s short film about Gather@. There’ll also be two performances from FREEQUENCY3, the artist formerly known as Olivia Lee, who was one of the favourites from the first Gather@ Festival. A producer, songwriter and freestyle rapper supported by BBC 1Xtra, Olivia has gone on to perform with Manchester Camerata at Rochdale Town Hall and was selected for ELEVATE, an artist development programme from Brighter Sound, supported by Liam Gallagher.
The performances will take place at 2pm and 3.30pm, with the film screening on a loop between them.
It’s a completely free event at Horse + Bamboo, so you can drop in, have a look around the exhibition, watch the film and catch a live performance.
And, of course, we’ll be sharing a little more about gather@ itself and our plans for 2027.
If you came along to the first gather@ Festival, this is a chance to see some of those moments again. If you missed it, it’s a pretty good way to get a feel for what it was all about.
Saturday 24 October at Horse + Bamboo. Free entry. Performances at 2pm and 3.30pm.
Come along, have a look, say hello and see gather@ through the eyes of the people who were there to capture it.
