The first Rawtenstall Beer Festival landed at the Masonic Hall recently, curated by Gary at Chuffin’ Ale and sponsored by Terminus Technologies. It was a day built on two things: top-tier Northern beer and a great atmosphere.
The drink selection was handpicked, and it showed. We had some heavy hitters from across the North, including Bayonet, Brid’s Cross, Colbier, Silent Mill, State of Kind, and SteelFish. Whether you were after a craft beer or a cider from Grumpy John’s, there wasn't a weak link in the lineup.

The Masonic Hall was a great shout for the location - it’s a beautiful spot and the volunteers there did a brilliant job. The music kept the energy right all day, starting with Ben Floyd and a fantastic acoustic set from Kayleigh Hall, before Northern Blood finished the night with a proper indie rock set.
Chuffin Ale's Founder, Gary’s aim was to create a community event where people could gather and grab a quality drink. Speaking about the turnout, he said: "It’s been nothing but positive. A real focus on community engagement and spotlighting quality breweries from the North - I believe we’ve achieved that."
It was a successful first run for the festival, and the plan is already in motion to bring it back next year, bigger and better.
