Gather@ A Music Festival for Rossendale - A Big Success.

The first-ever Gather@ Festival landed in Rossendale with a brilliant lineup of live music. Here are some of the highlights:
Hollyhead at the Blind Tiger was a great start to the weekend. The Manchester four-piece brought plenty of energy, with a sharp, tight post-punk set that had the Rawtenstall crowd well and truly awake.
Later on, Dave McCabe (pictured) played a stripped-back set at the Horse & Bamboo. It's rare to see the Zutons frontman in such a small theatre setting. The big songs were all there and played with a raw honesty that worked perfectly in the room.
Transmission Towers played a brilliant late set at restaurant MANR at the Whitaker. They bought the beats and heavy, pulsing electronic synths and completely changed the energy of the night, getting everyone in the room moving and grooving. Honestly, it was one of my favourite performances of the festival and singer Miss Mantee's outfit was absolutely on-point.
Later at 8pm, John Bramwell took over the Horse & Bamboo stage. The I Am Kloot frontman mixed classic songwriting with his usual dry humour, making the theatre feel incredibly intimate... almost like a packed, cosy living room.
Muireann Bradley was brilliant at the Horse & Bamboo - the theatre was so full a few trusted folks even adorned the mezzanine floor! The room went completely quiet watching Muireann's intricate country-blues fingerpicking. She's only 19, but her precision and presence on stage are incredible.
The festival finished with YAANG at St Mary's Chambers. They played a loud, chaotic synth-punk set that completely wore the crowd out - if you were there, you know! It was a proper, high-energy finish to the weekend.
